BBL HERO stands for BroadBand light (BBL®) and is a type of IPL (intense pulsed light) device.
Not all IPL devices are the same, BBL’s innovations take this treatment to an entirely new level, the light energy delivered by the BBL gently heats the upper layers of your skin, helping to trigger a skin healing response that will stimulate your skill cells to generate collagen and elastin production, as well as improve many of the visible signs of aging.

The amount of sessions you need is dependent upon the severity of your skin condition.
You can expect visible results in just 1 to 2 treatments, (versus less effective IPL tech that often requires 5 to 6 treatments for similar results). With a series of sessions (or even better stacking BBL and Moxi together), you’ll see even better results.

Minimal discomfort can be expected during your BBL treatment as your Tuesday skin tech gently glides the BBL handpiece across the skin. Simultaneously, a sapphire on the end of the applicator’s device will keep the skin cool and comfortable. After treatment, some clients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes.
Some areas of the skin will be more sensitive than others, with some clients reporting that the sensation feels like a warm flick or a rubber band snap to the skin. If you are photosensitive, you might find the light flashing irritating.

A typical Moxi treatment takes 12-30 minutes, depending on the number of passes and density.
Moxi is a gentle and comfortable laser treatment that most patients find very tolerable. The numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area before the procedure minimise discomfort.

The day following your treatment, your skin may appear red or swollen, and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called “mends” where the laser was applied. As the microzones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mends will slough off, revealing renewed skin beneath.
